Environmental and Safety Activities

Global Environmental Conservation Activities

Based on our global environmental conservation policy, we are promoting (environmental conservation) activities under the environmental management system ISO14001, which was acquired in November 2001.

Under an environmental conservation program for global warming prevention and zero emissions, we promote energy savings and fuel conversion at the Fuji Plant.

To reduce gas emissions leading to global warming, we introduced LPG steam boilers in 2010 and changed to refrigerant ISCEON 69-L (R403B). We are also promoting power conservation by installing LED lights for greater efficiency.

To prevent water pollution, we installed a new drainage system in 2013 to further ensure that the water we release is clean.

As a part of our zero emissions activities, we are making efforts to simplify package components, reduce volume by compression, and recycle resources for reuse.

Plant Environmental Policy

The Fuji Plant, which enjoys a scenic view at foot of Mt. Fuji, promises activities to maintain clean air and water, preserve the lush surroundings, and aim for sustainability of the ecosystem and resource circulation.

  1. We promote environmental conservation activities to ascertain the impact we have on the environment and preserve the natural environment.
  2. We determine the goals for this purpose and observe all laws, ordinances, and agreements in Japan and overseas to achieve it.
  3. We actively promote development of ecofriendly products and technology as well as activities for saving energy and resources, and we proactively implement ecofriendly production activities on a regional to global level.
  4. We continue to work to preserve the natural environment and participate in environmental protection and sustainability activities in our regional community.
  5. We make our environmental policy and our plant’s environmental activities open to the public upon request.
